Privacy Policy
Effective 22 October 2026
Warsha is a Mac app that shows your GitHub pull requests, Linear tickets, Google Calendar meetings and your own notes in one window. It runs entirely on your Mac. There is no Warsha server and no Warsha account, and the developer never receives your data.
Who this covers
This policy covers the Warsha app for macOS, distributed from GitHub Releases, and this website. Warsha is developed by Ahmed Mahmoud (@ahmedmahmoudo on GitHub).
What Warsha reads, and why
Warsha only reads what you connect in Settings → Accounts, and only to show it back to you.
Google (Google Calendar)
When you connect Google, Warsha asks for these permissions:
- Your email address (
openid, email), to show which Google account is connected. -
Read-only access to your calendar (
calendar.readonly), to show your meetings on the Today and Calendar pages, notify you before they start, and tell you when one is moved, cancelled or added.
Warsha reads events from your primary calendar only. For each one it keeps the title, start and end time, whether it's all day, its location, its video-call link, its link in Google Calendar, and whether you declined it. To find a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link, it looks through the event's location and description, but it doesn't keep the description. It doesn't keep the list of other attendees. Warsha can't create, change or delete anything in your calendar.
GitHub
Pull requests, reviews, checks, comments and branch rules for the repositories you work in, plus your profile, to work out what needs you. Warsha can act on GitHub only when you ask it to, for example Update branch on a pull request, or posting the reason you parked one.
Linear
Your assigned tickets, your inbox, cycles and projects, to rank what's up next and show tickets beside their pull requests. Warsha only posts to Linear when you ask it to, for example the reason you parked a ticket.
What you add yourself
Pins, notes, todos, parked items and your settings.
Where it's kept
- Sign-ins (access and refresh tokens) are kept in your Mac's login Keychain.
-
Everything else, including your meetings and notes, is kept in a database on your Mac, in
~/Library/Application Support/Warsha, and in the app's preferences.
Warsha connects straight from your Mac to GitHub, Linear and Google. Images in pull request descriptions and people's avatars load from wherever they're hosted. Warsha has no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising, and it never sells your data or shares it with anyone.
When you choose Open in Claude on a pull request, Warsha passes a prompt about that pull request to the Claude app on your Mac. Nothing from your calendar is included.
Google user data
Warsha's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, Google user data is used only to show you your own meetings in Warsha. It isn't transferred to anyone, used for advertising, or read by any person, and it's never used to develop, improve or train AI or machine learning models.
Removing your data
- Disconnect an account in Settings → Accounts. Disconnecting Google revokes Warsha's access at Google and deletes the meetings Warsha stored.
- Revoke access from Google's side at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions (or GitHub's and Linear's settings for those accounts).
-
Delete everything by deleting the Warsha app, the
~/Library/Application Support/Warshafolder, and the "Warsha" item in Keychain Access.
This website
warshahq.app is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. GitHub may keep server logs, such as IP addresses, under its own privacy statement, and the page's font loads from Google Fonts.
Children
Warsha is a tool for software developers and isn't directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date, and its history is public in the repository.
